Some things never change

So today I had such a fun day. My best friend from when we were in elementary school (we met in 1st grade) is in town. We got the kids together and went to Pump it Up and then Sunshine Park. Her hubby is in the Navy and they are stationed in Hawaii so needless to say we dont get to see each other much! (I wish I would love to make some trips to Hawaii!!!!) It's so funny though how when you meet up with an old friend that you have known most of your life how things just sort of pick up where they left off! Like we see each other all the time! Here are a few pics from our day. Her little boy Donovan is so cute and SO polite!

It's been a while!

Wow, I haven't updated my blog in almost a month! Ooppps! I guess I have been getting in the habit of going on Facebook and uploading my pics instead of blogging. Anyways, things have been good here! Just busy! I can't believe that Thanksgiving has already come and gone! And now Christmas is on it's way! I just went out shopping on Black Friday- yes I am one of those crazy people who get up at midnight to stand in lines for the big deals!!!! Found lot's of good stuff!!!! Maddy is doing great! She is really getting into PlayDough now! She is at the stage now where she doesn't try to eat it anymore (usually)- yay!!!! But she does like to lick it! Ewww!!!! She also is loving the Sesame Street characters! She has about 4-5 teeth all coming in at one time now so she has been a bit cranky, poor thing!
She reached a BIG accomplishment...... she now puts herself to sleep!!!! Until now we would hold her till she fell asleep and then put her down in her crib and we started laying her in the crib when she was sleepy and surprisingly she started sleeping on her own pretty easily! Matt and I laughed that she has probably been ready to do this for a while now and we are the ones that weren't ready for it! It's kinda sad! Now at bed time she sits with us for her nighttine bottle and then cuddles for a little and then she will look up at you say, "Night-night" and give you a goodnight kiss and that means she's ready to go to her crib. We'll take her to her crib and she falls right asleep. Or sometimes she'll hold little conversations with herself for a few minutes and then fall asleep. It's so cute!!!! Our little girl is almost 21 months now! Crazy!

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween! Mad's dressed up as a little ladybug. The cutest one I have ever seen if I do say so myself, ok I know I'm partial since I'm mommy but anyways! The day that I got her costume in the mail Maddy was so excited. I tried it on her and she was looking down at it trying to figure out what she had on. Then I took her into the big mirror in our room to show her and she was so cute she was smiling so big and giggling and picked up one side of the dress with her hand-little pinky finger out! and began twirling in the mirror. She loved it! When I went to take it off of her she cried! She wanted to wear it all day!
So of course on Halloween when it was time to put it back on she didnt want it on! = ( After calming her down she decided she liked it again. We went to my Mom and Dad's so they could see her in her costume along with my Grandparents. I took lots of pics and then we headed out with a big group of us to go trick or treating in a neighborhood nearby that we go to every year.

Maddy went up to the first house to trick or treat with her little bucket and was so surprised when they pout the candy in her bucket! Then we put her back in the stroller to get ot the next one and she was trying to eat the candy with the wrapper still on! Next we went in 2 hautned houses and she was such a trooper. She got a little scared once but mainly she was just taking everything in wide eyed! We went to lots more houses and each time she tried to eat the canbdy with the wrapper on! Finally we let her have a lollipop which she was thrilled with! Next we headed to Matt's parents house to visit and finally home for the night. What a great night!
